Salesforce.com Integration

Information from a single location

The Salesforce.com ™ CRM web application is widely used by business for maintaining and managing certain data. However, users often have to work with multiple business applications and databases, each holding different information. The results can be that users waste time clicking between different applications, data is duplicated, and more training is required.

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS), when used as a portal, provides a real solution to this problem. It allows you to consolidate information from different sources into one single location.

With this in mind, Perspicuity has developed a software library of SharePoint Web parts and Web services that allow SharePoint to be seamlessly integrated with SalesForce. Data from SalesForce can be displayed and edited, and data captured within SharePoint can be saved to SalesForce. Integration means you can:

  • Increase user productivity by removing the need to switch between MOSS and SalesForce
  • Protect your investment in SalesForce.
  • Reduce training requirements; fewer users need to use the SalesForce user interface.

The Salesforce integration product has been used on the client extranet for Majedie Asset Management. Majedie Asset Management clients are able to view information from SalesForce within the SharePoint Extranet, and can submit requests direct to SalesForce.
