Young Enterprise
In 2009 we joined together with the UK Young Enterprise scheme to act as a business liaison to a team of students at Clayesmore School near Blandford. – a school local to our Dorset office.
Perspicuity will be a business mentor to the group, drawing on our own experience of running a company to help them form and develop their own.
From the outset, Ben Gower (MD), was keen that both parties gained as much as possible from this partnership – with students understanding how real businesses worked and Perspicuity employees having the opportunity to impart their own knowledge and build up skills in being mentors.
At this stage the students’ company “Prestige” are still forming their offering and shaping their company and we look forward to helping them take the final idea to market.
This commitment from Perspicuity will last throughout the school year – and if successful continue on to the next academic year.
About Young Enterprise
With more than 40 years’ experience, Young Enterprise is the UK’s leading business and enterprise education charity.
It offers a range of programmes, based on the principle of Learning by Doing, which brings volunteers from business into the classroom to work with teachers and students. Some of our programmes enable students to work together to run their own real company. Others use games, hands on activities and role play to develop skills and capabilities for business and enterprise.
With more than 5,500 schools and colleges participating in our programmes, Young Enterprise currently reaches more than 320,000 young people a year from primary school right through to university.
The businesses and volunteers that support Young Enterprise take an active role in building a better-motivated, educated and enterprising workforce, at the same time making a real difference to the existing lives and future potential.
