Yeovil Company win contract to launch a cutting edge Microsoft Technology FacilityMicrosoft Technology Hub

Perspicuity Ltd, one of the UK’s leading Microsoft partners based in the Yeovil Innovation Centre, has won an exciting new contract to create a Microsoft Technology Hub for business customers. The high-tech centre is England’s first custom-built Technology facility outside of Microsoft’s Head Office; based at the Yeovil Innovation Centre it will allow businesses to have a guided tour though cutting edge Microsoft technology and how it can be best used in their business.

CEO, Ben Gower Explained;
“In the last couple of years the IT industry has been turned on its head by the advent of cloud technology and as with all technologies these are usually explained in complex jargon filled sentences when in reality what businesses need is a clear understanding of what’s best for my business, how you get it and what the cost is. This centre will allow businesses to gain all that information in practical hands on sessions in a jargon free environment”

Perspicuity Ltd has extensive experience of delivering technology solutions to organisations of every size in the public and private sectors.  They design, build and support information management systems that help public, private and third sector clients get better value from their business knowledge, interact with their customers and streamline business processes.

3 ways that the Microsoft Technology Hub will help businesses in the South West

1.     Superfast broadband is coming…The Hub can help South West Businesses keep up

Less than 5% of South West businesses have an ICT strategy, or even include it as part of their business plan, leaving them vulnerable to changes in technology and at risk of losing competitor advantage. A common reported fear is how the new technology - and its use of the cloud - will affect daily operations; this can be a substantial barrier to updating ICT.

How The Hub will help…

Perspicuity will hold weekly events for businesses focussed on specific sectors at The Microsoft Technology Hub that allow companies to try out new technology first hand to

ensure they can make an informed decision.

2.     The Hub will help South West Businesses see past technology jargon

Changes in technology also brings changes in the language and terminology that describe it, this can act as a further barrier to updating ICT.

How The Hub will help…

Perspicuity events at The Hub will be a jargon free zone helping businesses to get a clear understanding of how innovations in ICT will affect their organisation.

3.     The Hub will create opportunities for increased and sustained employment

Being part of a small business means that we often have to change plans completely overnight if one of our key customers’ demands it. This is especially true of tech-driven companies.

This requires a steady stream of investment in staff development to keep up with changes in technology.

How The Hub will help…

The Hub is a great base for Perspicuity’s growing apprenticeship scheme and will ensure that their apprentices are experienced with the very latest technology. As a dynamic environment it continually creates great opportunities for apprentices who are willing to prove themselves.

Perspicuity invests in their people’s time to make them capable, creative and trustworthy employees through a mentoring scheme where each apprentice has considerable time shadowing directors of the business, senior technicians, developers and sales staff as well as customers which allows them to put their work into context.
