Creating one streamlined hub: a 'go to' for all colleagues, as well as a digitisation of processes and exploring how M365 can shape McLaren as an organisation.

A seamless integration of news, document management and communications along with a Power App designed to streamline internal processes.
Perspicuity led the way with the project, quickly learning about McLaren and what we do. This full engagement meant that we had to supply less of our own time and resources in order to complete this project.
About McLaren
McLaren Construction is a group of companies operating in construction, property and development in the private and public sectors. Established in 2001, McLaren operate across the UK and UAE and have 700~ employees across the organisation, specialising in sectors such as commercial offices, residential, retail, education, and hotels.
The Opportunity
McLaren Construction Group came to Perspicuity having already implemented a SharePoint FastStart intranet, however they were looking for a centralised hub for the organisation that acts as more than just a document management system.
Having already looked into going down the WordPress route, McLaren decided to look within the Microsoft 365 environment to build their intranet through their current licensing to create a more personalised, user-friendly experience to unite teams from across the business.
The Perspicuity Solution
Upgrading McLaren's existing SharePoint intranet to Percy Intranet created a modern, centralised space for colleagues across the business to not only access published documents, but also a space for them to share internal news and communications.
Through a series of discovery workshops that included colleagues from across the business - particularly IT and communications - Perspicuity built up a deep understanding of McLaren's day-to-day operations and ways of working. This enabled Perspicuity to design both the intranet and PowerApp solutions to fit in with McLaren's existing environment without the need for drastic changes to ways of working.
Over time, and with regular pulse calls, McLaren and Perspicuity refined both solutions and developed long-term strategies for the intranet and the Power App, leading to a wider technology adoption of Microsoft 365 across the organisation.
The Outcomes
Since deployment, Percy Intranet and PowerApps have introduced a centralised space to gather, view and collaborate on information, whilst also introducing new and intuitive ways of working such as digitising manual processes with modern mobile applications.
Microsoft 365 E3 has allowed McLaren to explore and utilise new tools included in their license, such as Microsoft Forms, Stream and Whiteboard. This has eliminated the need for third-party tools and has greatly improved their overall return on investment.
