New Business Sales Lead
I work in the Sales team as a New Business Sales Lead, helping customers access support, consultancy and development across the Microsoft 365 stack. My role is all about building relationships, whether that's with new leads or our partner network.
I'm involved in everything from training sessions and running incentives with our partners in the South, to organising pre-sales calls and putting together contracts, making sure our customers get the most from their Microsoft investment.
Previously I worked as a Business Development Manager for a recycling firm. That role involved a lot of B2B cold calling, which gave me confidence and taught me how to connect with people quickly. I've always been in roles that centre about relationship-building and sales, so moving into tech sales felt like a natural next step.
Connecting with our partners and understanding how we can help them and their customers with their Microsoft 365 roadmap. I might be chatting with a new lead about basic Office 365 training, or travelling to our partner offices to deliver training sessions on our latest incentive.
My day often includes meetings, contract creation, partner engagement, and collaborating with our projects and consultancy team internally.
Meeting new people and constantly learning. I'm not a technical person, but being surrounded by brilliant consultants means I pick up so much just by listening. It's exciting to be a part of a team where learning is part of the everyday.
I also enjoy travelling to our partner offices and delivering training sessions.
finally feel like I’ve found my career path here. I joined in 2020 and started by looking after support customers and quickly progressed to picking up new leads and supporting our partner communities.
The opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility have been brilliant, and I’m excited about what’s next.
Technology is a whole new world! It’s constantly evolving, and there’s always something new to understand. I’ve also learned a lot about working with partner networks rather than directly with clients; it’s a different way of doing business, but one that’s incredibly effective once you get the hang of it.
It feels like a close-knit family. Everyone made me feel welcome from day one, and that support continues every day. It’s the little things that make a big difference.
