Its rather incredible how much technology nowadays impacts how businesses run. It’s also incredible how many businesses don’t utilise the best tools available, simply because they don’t know about them. It’s my job to ensure they find out

Elliott was destined for the Microsoft Partner world before he even left school. He was the youngest member of our team as he joined us for two weeks work experience in 2011. His passion and love for technology is what made him return in late 2013 as a Microsoft Apprentice. “I’ve always been fascinated by the world of tech, not necessarily by how it works, but how it influences us”. His first day was a complete change of scenery for him: moving from an Apple everything lifestyle Elliott had to learn all about Microsoft technologies from the ground up.

He began his apprenticeship as a Technical Apprentice. Day by day he supported our clients and quickly gained knowledge of Office 365 and its capabilities. Only a few weeks into his role he was put in at the deep end and started working with one of our customers. From configuring Surface RTs to running group policies, he had to work onsite on a broad spectrum of issues, but what shone out for us was Elliott’s natural ability to always deliver a fantastic customer service. His knowledge of technology paired with relentless customer focus lead to 5-star reviews flying in on Microsoft’s Pinpoint site when he began migrating clients’ email to Office 365 in his new role as Office 365 Specialist.

Elliott has attended Microsoft events and taken part in Q&As all in front of a range of businesses promoting the world of apprenticeships. Following this, Elliott became a QA Ambassador representing QA at a number of events including “Microsoft Apprentice of the Year Awards” in 2014 and has also presented at business start events – showing the “why” of why Office 365 makes sense.

In November 2014, Elliott was chosen to travel to Seattle with his colleague Adam in order to understand every nuance of the SkyKick email migration process to Office 365. This involved working under the intense pressure of a constant stream of food, flowcharts and technical excellence from their MVP – Sean McNeil.

In 2015 Elliott was promoted into a new sales and marketing focused role and he began working with our business customers across the country, advising on the best licences and services suited to the customer’s needs. With his ear to the ground he reports in to Rupert, our Sales Director, with customer opinion, ideas and that all important sales data.

Creativity has always been a strength of Elliott’s so within a short space of time he found himself working in Marketing and a flight to Boston, Massachusetts to attend Hubspot’s “INBOUND” conference. To get inspiration and education about everything Inbound Marketing. Since his return, he has on-going involvement with our website, driving our blogs feed and running our social media channels – he’s happy to be either side of the camera.

What next? With his passion for technology and his customer focus, through our social media channels you will see Elliott go and meet our customers, understand their business needs as well as keep his eye on new technology. There is a lot to come!
