SharePoint Data Migration

Time to upgrade?

Data migration – it’s unglamorous and hard work. Solution compatibility, possible downtime and financial risk can all be managed with the right approach.

Fixed price, reduce risk

Our approach allows us to provide a fixed price for nearly all migrations – allowing you to keep control of budget and satisfy your stakeholders.

The right approach

We have experience with tools from AvePoint, Metalogix and ShareGate – whatever the challenge we can find the approach and tool to match.

How We Do It?

Our process starts with a Discovery analysis to agree the scope of what your end goal is and how we’re going to get there.

  • Discovery: we’ll explore and document the scope of what is and isn’t to be migrated, identify customisations, highlight opportunities for improvement and evaluate migration approaches.
  • Migrate – Prepare: we prepare the target environment, making sure the right permissions, structure and components are in place along with helping you prepare your communications plan.
  • Testing and remediation of migration: we validate that the approach is correct, allowing us to address issues that surface.
  • Finalise migration: execute the final migration and sync in order to sweep the final data to your new environment.

We’re going to need a tool…

Short of manually recreating your entire site structure when moving to SharePoint Online – you’re going to need a migration tool. We have experience with AvePoint and Metalogix, but Sharegate is our tool of choice.

On-premises upgrades can be achieved without a tool – but if you’re looking to jump a version (i.e. SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2016) then tooling can be considered here too.

Take the opportunity to start fresh

Is your existing SharePoint solution fit for purpose? Does moving all the data to the cloud make sense? We help by working with you to create a new structure to support the data that still holds value, then supporting you through that migration.
